Sexual offences – appeal against conviction and sentence

29 March 2016

Fisher Dore Lawyers

Fisher Dore acted for the appellant. He was charged with 23 sexual offences. The appellant was found guilty on counts 1-7, 10, 12, 14, 15-17, 21 and 22. He was found not guilty on the remaining counts.

The appellant appealed on 2 grounds: the verdicts were unreasonable, and a miscarriage of justice occurred. The appeals against conviction and sentence were allowed, and numerous orders including acquittals and retrials were made.
