On a roll from Wednesday, Lachlan achieved another great result on Thursday in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court. Lachlan’s client was charged with his 3rd disqualified driving offence.
Previously he had received 5 months imprisonment to serve 1 month, and a 3 year disqualification of his licence. Unfortunately, he then drove with less than 6 weeks remaining of his disqualification.
Lachlan submitted for his client’s immediate release on parole. Lachlan highlighted his client’s family support, his recent employment, and care of his child. The Presiding Magistrate
accepted Lachlan’s persuasive submissions and ordered that he be released immediately on parole for a period of 6 months. This allowed his client to remain in the community and tend to his obligations.
He also received the minimum licence disqualification period allowed, being 2 years.
