Our very skilled advocate, Lachlan Ygoa-McKeown achieved an excellent result for his client on Wednesday.
Lachlan’s client was charged with 17 charges of fraud and attempted fraud, and stealing. Lachlan argued that
his client was a first time offender and that it was completely out of character. The Court accepted that submission,
and that his client was an otherwise strong, independent member of society who made a mistake.
She was sentenced to 6 months probation, and no conviction was recorded. Lachlan’s client was thrilled with the
result, as the recording of a conviction would certainly have had a negative impact on her future employment and travel prospects.

At Fisher Dore we ensure that the preparation of your case goes beyond that of the court room. Whether it be job prospects, study, the impact on your family, or your own
rehabilitation, we care about your present and future needs.
